    Face Analysis menu: Measurements

The Measurements option to visualize some of the most common and predefined facial measurements, together with the Custom Measurements option.

Custom measurement allows you to define and execute custom measurements tailored to your specific requirements.

The Both, Before or After buttons are meant for:

    • Both: you can draw on either the before or the after, because both of them are activated.
    • Before: custom measurements are only applicable to the before 3D image.
    • After: custom measurements are only applicable to the after 3D image.

Select and define the type of measurement to draw and calculate:

    • Straight Line: Measure distances between two points accurately.
    • Projected Line: Project lines onto surfaces or objects for spatial analysis.
    • Freehand: Draw organic shapes or lines for customized measurements.
    • Volume: Calculate the volume of specific regions.
    • Angle: Measure angles between lines or surfaces within the simulation.

Crisalix automatically calculates the value of these predefined measurements. You can enable or disable the different options to quickly visualize their calculations:

    • Angles: Nasofrontal, Collumelar-Labial, Mandibular and Nasal tip. Angles are not editable and are defined on the 3D by default. You can enable as many angles as needed.
    • Upper and Middle Third face-related measurements: Outercanthal distance, Nasal bridge length, Interalar distance, Bony base width, and Nasal projection. You can enable as many measurements as needed.
    • Lower third face-related measurements: select to enable either Mouth width / Stomion to menton measurements or the Esthetic line.

Editable measurements are easily identified with blue dots on their ends. To edit a measurement, select a blue dot and drag it until you reach the desired distance. Observe that the calculated value changes automatically.
